Reliance Power Divests Indonesian Coal Subsidiaries in $12 Million Deal
Reliance Power Limited has agreed to sell its entire stake in five Indonesian coal subsidiaries to Biotruster (Singapore) Pte Ltd for $12 million. The transaction, disclosed to stock exchanges today, involves PT Avaneesh Coal Resources, PT Heramba Coal Resources, PT Sumukha Coal Services, PT Brayan Bintang Tiga Energi, and PT Sriwijaya Bintang Tiga Energi.
The deal, expected to close by December 30, 2025, will see Reliance Power Netherlands B.V. and Reliance Natural Resources (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. transfer 100% equity ownership. The subsidiaries contributed negligible revenue last fiscal year, representing just 0.53% of Reliance Power's consolidated net worth.
Market reaction was muted, with Reliance Power shares trading 0.89% lower at ₹44.36 on the NSE. The company emphasized the transaction involves no related parties or promoter group entities.
